Misty is a First Responder licensed professional counselor associate who has worked as a police officer in a large metropolitan department for the past 12 years. She is still currently serving that community as a patrol officer. This experience, in addition to growing up in a large military family, has given Misty the first-hand knowledge needed to understand and serve first responders to include law enforcement, fire/EMS, nurses, dispatchers, 911 call takers, military personnel, and veterans. Misty is passionate about helping those experiencing repeated exposure to trauma to build resiliency and to find healthy coping mechanisms to lower the overall effect of these exposures. In addition, Misty has experience dealing with issues such as relationship strain, divorce, parenting, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress and trauma. Misty has experience with individuals, as well as couples counseling, and juveniles 15 years and older.
