Amy works from a marriage and family systems faith-based educational foundation with a desire to restore relationships and equip individuals with skills and strategies to create and maintain resilient connections. Her trauma-informed approach to counseling is individually tailored to the client and is influenced by many research-based modalities and techniques, including but not limited to: Family Systems, Attachment-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/REBT, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative and Person-Centered.
Amy’s professional and clinical background includes:
- Licensed professional counselor associate supervised by Lisa Grubbs, PhD, LPC – S
- Master of Marriage and Family Therapy, The Kings University
- One year of practicum experience providing Psychotherapy to Cancer Patients and their adult family members/caregivers.
Amy is a first responder spouse, the mother of two children, and has a quirky English Bull Terrier that keeps the house full of fun and energy. When not at work, she enjoys the outdoors, attending live music/sports/stand-up comedy events, and spending time with family and friends.
Amy works with couples, families, adult individuals and older adult individuals/first responder retirees, virtually, at the Flower Mound, and North Richland Hills office locations.
